Acute Care Staff Members Receive Healing Hand Award at MDH

MACOMB, Ill. - McDonough District Hospital Acute Care staff members Dr. Jack McPherson, Registered Nurse Nora Valdez and Certified Nursing Assistant Kate Hickey were recently recognized with Healing Hand awards, an honor within the Grateful Patient Program.

The Grateful Patient Program provides an opportunity for patients and/or families to show their gratitude and appreciation in honor of the excellent care received. In addition to recognizing a Healing Hand, patients and/or families may make a financial contribution to support an area of care or direct their gift to a more specific cause. This award was a accompanied by a gift designated to the Acute Care unit.

Grateful Patient Vicky Kipling shared, “I received such outstanding care during my hospitalization. The entire team was amazing, but these three superstars went above and beyond. I am so grateful for their professional expertise and knowledge.”
