Payment Options

If there is a balance due from you, the following are your payment options.

Pay your bill in full by cash, check or credit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

Arrange a 12-month, interest-free payment plan in twelve installments through our Financial Counselors. You must contact us within 30 days of your first notice in order to qualify.

Extended payment arrangements. Granting credit through an extended arrangement requires a signed installment contract and carries various rates of interest per month, including an interest-free option. For your convenience, you may pay your hospital account bills with online payment through our secure payment portal.

CareCredit Payment Option

McDonough District Hospital will now offer another convenient option for patients to pay their medical bills. MDH is partnering with CareCredit to offer payment options for patients. The plans MDH will be offering include:

Balance under $200 – Payment within 30 days
Minimum $1,000 – 6 months or 12 months no interest   
Minimum $2,500 – 18 months no interest
Minimum $1,000 – 24 months at 17.90% interest
Minimum $1,000 – 36 months at 18.90%
Minimum $1,000 – 48 months at 19.90%

Patients with bills under $1,000 can contact the Financial Services department on what payment plans are available.

Those interested in a repayment option through CareCredit can apply online via the CareCredit website or stop by the MDH Business Office for assistance in signing up. The new partnership will provide patients with more peace of mind to pay their bill within 18 months to avoid interest charges.

“To better serve our patients, we now accept CareCredit credit cards. CareCredit provides flexible monthly payment options to help our patients manage their out-of-pocket expenses, with some options at a 0% interest rate,” said Sherri Hitchcock, Vice President/Chief Financial Officer. “The application for patients to fill out is quick and patient focused.”
