MACOMB, Ill. – Former McDonough District Hospital administrator Wanda Foster, RN, MSN, will be returning to the organization on a temporary basis in a new role.
Following contract approval by the MDH Board of Directors during Monday night’s (July 13) special Board meeting, Foster will serve as the Interim Chief Executive Officer for the hospital she worked at for more than 40 years. Her official start date is July 18.
She succeeds Bill Murdock, who departs after working at MDH for seven years, including the past 2-plus years as President & Chief Executive Officer.
“I look forward to leading McDonough District Hospital, this time in a new role. I’ve spent my professional career helping MDH grow and meet the healthcare needs of the communities we serve. I want to thank the Board of Directors for their support and trust in me during this transition period,” said Foster. “I also want to extend my sincere appreciation to Bill Murdock for the work he has done during his tenure at MDH. I have worked with many of the Department Directors and Leadership at MDH, I value their dedication to our hospital and serving our patients. We will work collaboratively to address the challenges we face as a small rural hospital and provide high-quality healthcare to those in need.”
