MACOMB, Ill. - McDonough District Hospital announced that Amber Rector, PA-C, is rejoining the Medical Group and will work with MDH Gastroenterology. Over the past 13 years, she has worked as an advanced practice provider in and around McDonough and Fulton County.
She joins Dr. Timothy Biagini and Melissa Pounders, FNP-C with MDH Gastroenterology. The Gastroenterology clinic is located on the 2nd floor of Health Services Building 2, Suite 211 (same office as the newly renovated MDH General Surgery Clinic with Dr. Olivia White).
Rector is accepting new patients, and individuals can call MDH Gastroenterology at (309) 836-3387 for more information on how to schedule an appointment.
She began her career at MDH working in the Convenience Clinic, then as a Physician Assistant with the Hancock County Health Department Family Practice. For three years, she worked with the Medical Group of Macomb Internal Medicine and Pediatric clinics.
Most recently, Rector worked in a Family Practice clinic in Astoria, first with HSHS Medical Group then later as part of Culbertson Memorial Hospital.
Rector earned cum laude honors as she received her bachelor's degree and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. She is a member of the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
