MDH Opens Additional Radiology Imaging Suite

MACOMB, Ill. – A new facility addition at McDonough District Hospital opens on Monday, March 14, providing additional access to outpatients needing an x-ray.

MDH will now offer outpatient x-rays inside the Radiology Imaging Suite located on the second floor of Health Services Building 1 (505 East Grant Street). The new Radiology Imaging Suite is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

“The new outpatient Radiology suite will allow outpatients to receive x-ray examinations without coming inside the hospital,” said Director of MDH Radiology Milton Griffin, RT (R), BS, MA. “The convenience will be a major patient satisfier.”

The Radiology Imaging Suite is available to any outpatient needing an x-ray examination.

“The HSB 1 Radiology Imaging Suite has been a great project. A well-designed, high quality suite has been developed to meet basic Radiology needs for patients coming from either Health Services Building 1 or Health Services Building 2. At MDH, approximately 85 percent of all our business is outpatient directed. We have approximately 300 patients daily visiting Health Services Buildings 1 and 2 for a variety of services,” said Adrian MacGregor, MDH Vice President for Clinical and Support Services. “The Radiology suite is a natural alignment of ensuring patients do not have to travel any further on the MDH campus for an x-ray. We’re thrilled to be able to provide this level of convenience for our patients, and excited to get the outpatient Radiology suite open on Monday.”
