Macomb--The McDonough District Hospital new Emergency Services along with the Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Services will open September 11 and 14.
Starting Friday, September 11 at 8:00 AM, those needing to go to the Emergency Room will be able to use the new west entrance with Emergency signage. Enter through the sliding glass doors, continuing straight into the second set of sliding glass doors and into the Emergency registration area. The two-way drive, west of MDH, will open the same day allowing patients and visitors to enter and exit from both locations on Grant Street.
The new Emergency Services includes 10 large private treatment rooms, ambulance garage, spacious waiting area along with a pediatric waiting area, vending and the VIBE (Volunteers Interested in Benefiting Everyone) Comfort Room for families in crisis situation.
On Monday, September 14, Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Services will open in their new location on the 3rd floor. This includes; physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehab and wound care. The spacious, 3rd floor location has a great view and features including; new cardiac rehabilitation telemetry, a supported walking system, a fully-equipped ADL kitchen, private treatment rooms, pediatric waiting room and gym, hand/upper extremity exam and much more.
Starting September 14, patients can find the new Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Services location by entering through the new west entrance sliding glass doors, immediately turn right and head down the corridor. The elevator is located on the left, take the elevator up to the 3rd floor and exit the elevator to the right.
