MDH Rehabilitation Services Partners with SilverSneakers® Fitness Program

Macomb--McDonough District Hospital Rehabilitation Services is now partnered with Healthways and the SilverSneakers® Fitness, one of the nation’s leading exercise programs exclusively for seniors.

MDH physical therapy staff and SilverSneakers® help qualified seniors get fit using appropriate weight training, flexibility and stress relief techniques with guidance from trained staff.

Select Medicare Health Plans may offer the Healthways SilverSneakers Fitness program as part of health insurance benefits.

“We are pleased to offer the SilverSneakers® program to our patients,” said Lori Fox, physical therapy assistant at the MDH Outpatients Rehabilitation Clinic. “We are encouraging area seniors interested in a general fitness program to check their eligibility.”
