MACOMB, Ill. – Jen Wagoner, MPT, CVR, was recently honored with a Healing Hand Award through the Grateful Patient Program at McDonough District Hospital.

The Grateful Patient Program provides an opportunity for patients to say thank you for the exceptional care delivered by a provider, nurse, staff member, volunteer, or area of care. Patients have the opportunity to designate funds or recognize their Healing Hand with a certificate of appreciation.

Most recently, Wagoner was honored for helping a patient with vertigo and for always being positive and willing to help.

Wagoner is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation, a form of physical therapy that addresses inner ear or balance disorders for individuals with symptoms of: unbalance, dizziness, vertigo, lightheadedness, gaze instability, and/or motion sensitivity.

This award and $500 donation brings Wagoner closer to the goal of purchasing specialized goggles that will enhance the treatment process for vestibular disorders at MDH.
