MDH Offers AARP Driver Safety Course June 13

MACOMB, Ill. - McDonough District Hospital is once again sponsoring an AARP Driver Safety Course on Friday, June 13, from 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. This 8-hour program will be held in the Auditorium, located on the lower level of MDH.
Presented in a classroom setting by Kenneth Cole of Macomb, the Driver Safety Course consists of instructor guidance, a video, and discussion of driving concerns. Participants will also learn tips on how to avoid driving hazards. There is no driving involved and no tests are given.
A 30-minute break for lunch will take place from 12:30-1 p.m.
Insurance companies may give an auto insurance discount to all drivers age 50 and older who complete this accident prevention course. Please contact your auto insurance agent regarding the amount of a potential discount.
The course is $20 for AARP members with a valid card, and $25 for nonmembers, payable to AARP the day of the course. Pre-registration is required and seating is limited. Register today by calling the MDH Public Relations office at (309) 836-1557 or emailing publicrelations@mdh.org.
