MACOMB, Ill. - McDonough District Hospital announced a new nurse practitioner recently joined the medical group.
Qinghui Liu, FNP-C will start on December 1 in the MDH Convenience Clinic. A recent graduate from Maryville University with her Family Nurse Practitioner degree, Liu worked the last two years as a registered nurse at the Illinois Veteran Home.
A registered nurse for the past five years, Liu worked in healthcare facilities in Springfield, Jacksonville, Quincy and Macomb.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Beijing Sport University. She joined the national swimming team in 1999 and that year was a Gold medalist in the 50- and 100-meter backstroke at the Australian Young Invitational. She was a third place finisher in the 100-backstroke at the 2003 National Swimming Championship.
Liu earned her Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Western Illinois University.
