Obstetrician Dr. Tamara (Leonas) Smith to Join MMG

Macomb— Dr. Tamara (Leonas) Smith, D.O., F.A.C.O.O.G. will become a member of the McDonough Medical Group (MMG) effective January 5, 2015. Her new office will be located on the first floor of McDonough District Hospital.

She first joined the MDH Medical Staff in January, 2013. Dr. (Leonas) Smith had been practicing medicine for 15 years prior to moving to Macomb. She is a Board Certified Obstetrician – Gynecologist. She graduated the Obstetrics & Gynecology residency program as Chief Resident of her class from St. Johns-Macomb Hospital / Michigan State University in Detroit, Michigan. Her medical degree was granted from the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine in southern Maine. She is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians and Gynecologists (F.A.C.O.O.G.).

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and being involved with her church.
