Led by Carolyn Grove, RN, BSN, CWOCN, this course will explain the anatomy and physiology of common causes for swelling in the legs. We will discuss common factors associated with peripheral edema that can lead to open wounds, what to watch for, and how to treat. Compression hose are a common treatment of lower leg swelling so we will discuss proper fitting of compression hose, different types of compression and barriers to wearing compression.
