MDH Welcome Reception for Three New Doctors
Macomb, IL – McDonough District Hospital will hold an open house welcome reception for three new physicians from 3-6 PM Wednesday, August 21 in the new addition to Health Services Building II on the MDH campus.
The reception is for Timothy Biagini, MD, Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine; Sajja Sarwar, MD, Psychiatry; and Jeffrey Sparks, DO, Otolaryngology Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT).
Biagini joins the healthcare team at the Lamoine Valley Clinic working with David Greathouse, DO. He received his medical degree at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, Peoria, IL. Biagini finished his residency in Internal Medicine in 2010 from Rush University Medical Center and recently completed a Gastroenterology fellowship at The University of Miami School of Medicine. Sarwar, a hospital-employed Psychiatrist with McDonough Medical Group (MMG), started at MDH July 1. He completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan. Sarwar recently finished his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the University of Toledo, OH. He is a member of the American Psychiatrists Association. Sparks, a hospital-employed Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist joined the MMG practice at MDH August 1. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Truman State University, in Kirksville, MO. He went on to receive his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. Sparks completed a surgical internship at Northeast Regional Medical Center.
He also finished his Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center. Sparks is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.
