Care

The
Level II MDH Obstetrics Department provides 24-hour-a-day
care for mother and baby during all phases of pregnancy. The
department is staffed by registered nurses certified in neonatal
resuscitation and educated in fetal monitoring. All departmental
personnel are CPR certified.
Services
are provided in a family-centered maternity unit that combines
labor, delivery and recovery rooms in a comfortable, homelike
setting.
The
Obstetrics Department provides evaluation and post-operative
care and performs educational home visits to ease the transition
home and enhance postpartum wellness.

- Childbirth
instruction
- Nutrition
for pregnancy

Cesarean Section
- Infant
CPR
- Breast
feeding (taught by a lactation specialist who is available
to assist new mothers).

Outreach
Services
Outreach services provides women's health information with
understanding, sensitivity and confidentiality. Outreach Services
is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
