Sports Medicine
Sports medicine, or athletic training, deals with the treatment and preventative care of injuries to athletes and anyone who participates in leisure sports. Patients with various neuromusculoskeletal dysfunctions receive both hands-on treatment and activity-specific exercise instruction. Our team of professionals also incorporates a patient’s work, hobby, or sport activity into a custom treatment plan. Educational materials, customized home exercise plan, and models are provided to enhance our patient’s understanding of his or her specific diagnosis or dysfunction.
Conditions Treated
We can assist you with sports injuries, including ligament injuries, meniscus, rotator cuff, ankle sprains, and general musculoskeletal injuries.
We also offer high school and junior high school coverage for injury evaluations, strength and conditioning, sports rehabilitation, bracing, and exercise testing.
Goals
The goal of Sports Medicine is to increase the range of motion, control pain, increase strength, and return patient to prior level of activity.
