School of Radiography Academic Schedule/Calendar

The School of Radiography is a 24-month program of full-time study. Classes begin in August of even-numbered years. Initially time is spent in the classroom and the radiology department observing; thereafter, the student will be involved in both clinical and classroom studies.

Clinical days are generally from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Some of the clinical time is assigned on weekends, usually one Saturday a month for four hours in the morning. On most Thursdays an evening didactic class will be scheduled from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Upon which an early release of noon on Thursday will be done to allow the student personal time in the afternoon before the evening class. Clinical and didactic hours total no more than 40 hours per week.

Vacation time of 80 hours per year is given to each student. Vacation time must be requested in writing and approved by the Program Director.
