Nuclear Medicine in Macomb, IL

Imaging to View Organ Function

Nuclear Medicine is a type of imaging that specifically views organ function. A small amount of a radioactive isotope is injected, ingested, or inhaled. The test may last from one to four hours, depending on which organ function is being evaluated. The patient lies on a padded table while a square detector takes images above the patient or moves in small increments around the patient.

Please register in the Admitting Department 15 minutes prior to your Nuclear Medicine appointment. Patients can save time and pre-register by calling (309) 836-1753 between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
