CITIZENS BANK DONATES $10,000 TO MDH
Citizens Bank (div. Morton Community Bank) presented McDonough District Hospital with a check for $10,000 to go toward the purchase of a Digital Mammography Unit in Radiology; Festival of Trees; Golf Tournament; and Straight Talk Program. With this gift and past contributions, Citizens will be recognized as a “Partner” in the MDH Business Honor Roll giving club.
Citizens’ gift to MDH will help bring new technology to better serve the community. Digital Mammography consists of improved technology that promptly creates a digital image that is visualized on a computer work station. The magnification, orientation, brightness, and contrast of the mammogram image may also be altered after the exam is completed to help the radiologist more clearly see certain areas of the breast. The mammogram process for the patient remains the same but acquiring the images is faster due to the digital technology.
“Citizens Bank has been most generous to MDH as they have donated nearly $100,000 to date. Their support of the hospital is phenomenal and is greatly appreciated,” said Steve Hopper, MDH President/CEO.
