Don’t be late for these classes—they will provide you with the information you will need to have a rewarding childbirth experience. L.A.T.E. classes will meet for four weeks on Thursday evenings. During that time, Linda Greene, RN, BSN, or Lynn Crowell, RN, will explain the stages of labor: Latent, Active, Transition, and Expulsion (L.A.T.E.). They will incorporate breathing and relaxation techniques to help make each phase of labor as manageable as possible. Linda and Lynn are both OB nurses at MDH and have 51 years of nursing experience and 38 years of teaching experience between the two of them. They will use games and humor to make this a fun experience for you and your support person. A tour of the OB Department will be included in this series.
