Giving Opportunities
Thank you for your interest in McDonough District Hospital. There are many giving opportunities available at MDH including an honor/memorial program, special events, and the giving levels listed below. Heritage Circle
Special friends who provide for McDonough District Hospital through their financial or estate plan or establish a life insurance policy with MDH as the beneficiary.

Business Honor Roll (BHR)
The Business Relations Committee has established the MDH Business Honor Roll to recognize yearly pledges and gifts to MDH from the business community.

Golden Apple Society
The Golden Apple Society is a select group of individuals who are dedicated to McDonough District Hospital and continued healthcare excellence. Members pledge $10,000 and above to McDonough District Hospital, payable all at once, or over a period of up to ten years.

Century Club
The Century Club is comprised of community members who generously make an annual gift of $100, $250 or $500 to McDonough District Hospital. The MDH Century Club is the foundation of the Development program at MDH, and its members have purchased equipment and made many special programs possible for area residents, including the MDH Diabetes & Asthma Centers, Cancer Screenings, and Mammogram Scholarships.

PROS (Professionals Reach Out in Service)
The MDH PROS is the employee participation program of the Development Council at McDonough District Hospital. This group of dedicated employees has contributed funds to help meet the future healthcare needs of the hospital and the community.
PROS has supported several projects over the past years such as: first aid kits for Farm Safety Day Camp participants, picnic tables & umbrellas, renovation projects, employee fitness room & lounges, employee parties and more.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Yes! Donations made to MDH are deductible from the federal income tax to the full extent of the law.
Can I donate something other than cash?
Yes. Donations may be made in many forms. For a variety of reasons, which are best determined by you and your financial advisor, you may wish to give securities, real estate, life insurance or other possessions. Gifts-in-kind are appreciated.

How will my donation be used?
Donors may designate their gift to a current capital improvement at McDonough District Hospital, or towards a particular program or service the hospital provides. Many such "restricted" accounts have been established. The Fund Development office at MDH can provide assistance with restricted donations.

How will my gifts be recognized?
All gifts are promptly acknowledged and, unless specified otherwise, are published in McDonough District Hospital's bi-annual publication, Vital Signs. Donations of $10,000 or more will receive special recognition.
