Pulmonary Rehabilitation

MDH Pulmonary Rehabilitation offers patients with obstructive or restrictive pulmonary disease an 8- to 12-week, multidisciplinary rehabilitation program combining education, exercise, and functional activities.

We provide evaluation and treatment of many lung conditions, including COPD, pulmo
nary fibrosis,emphysema, lung cancer, asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other lung diseases.

Elements of Treatment

  • Evaluation and Testing: Pulmonary function test and the 6-minute walk test
  • Exercise: Aerobic, strengthening, and stretching
  • Education Sessions: Includes educational materials

Goal
Our goal is to improve aerobic conditioning, increase upper and lower body strength, establish good breathing techniques, and improve your function in everyday activities.
