MDH Appoints New Physician Practice Leader


Macomb—McDonough District Hospital is pleased to announce that Chris Dace has been named the Physician Practice Leader at McDonough District Hospital effective April 30, 2012. Chris has successfully served as the Interim Physician Practice Leader since November 28, 2011 while an extensive national search was undertaken.

During this time, Chris assisted with the continued growth of the McDonough Medical Group (MMG) through the successful oversight, coordination, and implementation of the office practices of Dr. Yousaf Jalil in January and Dr. Ronald Wheeler in February. Chris has proven his ability in building relationships with our employed physicians, developing MDH’s practice management capabilities, and expanding our market in order to remain competitive. He is currently very involved in the implementation of an electronic health record system for the MMG physician practices and Convenient Care.

During Chris’ 30 year tenure at McDonough District Hospital, he has held the positions of Paramedic, Director of Ambulance Service, President of McDonough Service Organization, and Director of Emergency Services. Chris has participated in and lead many successful initiatives at MDH including implementation of physician practices and the Rural Health Clinic in Table Grove while with the MSO, implementation of the EMS electronic record and full electronic ED record, implementation of “Stat Heart Programs” and “Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners” program at MDH, “Emergency Services for Children” program, and coordinated the implementation of Convenient Care. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master’s of Business Administration Degree from Western Illinois University.
