MDH Appoints New Emergency Services Leader


Macomb, IL -- Frank Lung III was named the Emergency Services Leader at McDonough District Hospital effective May 11, 2012, according to Vice President for Clinical Operations and Business Development Lori Moon. Lung has served as the Interim Emergency Services Leader since November 28, 2011.

During his 13 year tenure at MDH, he has held the positions of Registered Nurse - ER, House Supervisor, Clinical Care Coordinator, and Interim Emergency Services Leader. Frank has participated in and led many successful initiatives at the hospital including implementation of a full electronic ED record, implementation of STEMI programs, and certification of MDH as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) for the State of Illinois Emergency Medical Services for Children program. Frank has also participated and represented MDH on various regional committees including Region 2 Trauma Council, Region 2 EMSC, and Prairie Cardiovascular STAT Heart Program manager’s team.

Lung holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from Culver Stockton College / Blessing Rieman College of Nursing and is in the process of completing a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Walden University.
