Linda Radlo
Exercise Physiologist in Rehabilitation Services
Congratulations to Linda Radlo, Exercise Physiologist in
Rehabilitation Services, on being named the recipient of the MDH APPLE
Award for March 2007. APPLE stands for "Achieving outstanding
Performance in Patient care, Leadership, Loyalty and Enthusiasm for
MDH."
Linda began her employment as an Exercise Physiologist in
Rehabilitation Services on May 17, 2005. Just prior to this, in the
Spring of 2005, Linda completed her internship in Cardiac and
Pulmonary Rehabilitation at MDH to satisfy the requirements of a
bachelors degree in kinesiology from Western Illinois University. As
of August 28, 2005, Linda began working as a Pharmacy Technician in
addition to her role as an Exercise Physiologist. In October 2006,
Linda returned to the Rehabilitation Services department on a
full-time basis.
Linda is a caring, generous individual who makes your day a little
brighter when she is around. She greets everyone with a warm smile and
a friendly greeting. She makes participants feel comfortable and
welcomed and keeps them motivated and upbeat. Linda's traits include
being supportive, motivating, positive, energetic, enthusiastic,
reliable, and trustworthy.
One of Linda's major strengths is communication. She provides clear
instructions to the participants and continually motivates them. She
keeps records up to date and accurate. She provides good suggestions
for program improvements, has sound professional judgment, and strives
for excellence in her work.
Linda always tries to be the best that she can be. She has excellent
exercise technique and appropriately establishes and modifies exercise
parameters. She has excellent patient care skills and provides superb
supervision and guidance for the participants. She is always vigilant
of exercise techniques and responds and makes modifications as needed
for optimal treatment sessions. She is excellent in facilitating
motivation among participants. She is ever observant and ready to
meet the needs of her patients.
Her nominator states "Linda radiates enthusiasm and genuine concern
for others. Participants in the program light up when they see Linda.
She is a great conversationalist. She is able to find a common
interest with others and give individualized attention. Linda has the
best interest for the participants. She helps meet their needs
emotionally and physically. She is very thorough with her assessment
skills and responds quickly when an emergency arises. It is a treat
to work with Linda. Her flexibility and outstanding personality makes
the department run smoothly."
Linda is married to Steve. In her spare time, Linda enjoys boating,
exercising, and golfing. She enjoys spending time with her family and
also her dog, Fisher.
In her spare time, Andrea enjoys fishing and spending time with family and friends.
